Red Cross workers and Moscow.
These photographs are selected from a larger body of work titled, "Russia's Hidden Cross", an exhibtion and publication. In the early 1990's I travelled to Moscow to photograph the work of the Red Cross and met many people who relied on humanitarian aid to survive. I visited, baby orphanges, women´s prisons, refugee sanitoriums, hospitals, elderly people's homes to name but a few.
This work was exhibited at Focal Point, Southend-on-Sea.
